Had a glorious English Tea Party today. Decided to share a traditional British recipe and some prep pics. I used the recipes for Cream Scones and Clotted (Devonshire) Cream here, and they turned out fabulous. Everyone was raving about the cream—and the smell baking these scones filled my house with—heaven! My house smells distinctly like shortbread cookies, vanilla, and butter. The clotted cream with scones are definitely the most indulgently fattening things I've ever made in my life and for the taste, it's worth it. The cool clotted cream complemented the scones and jam deliciously. You’ll want to glob it onto everything. Enjoy the pictures.

New Kanye
Otis feat. Otis Redding by watchthethrone
I admit it: I love Kanye West more than a swag-less orchestra dork should. I don’t know what it is. Kanye’s always been in my musical periphery, but it wasn’t until his album, 808s & Heartbreaks, that I really ever paused to appreciate his fast and loose flow and his amazing production abilities. The man is a genius and I love him. I love him more than a whole plate of fish sticks in my mouth.
Anyway, here’s his first single, "Otis", from his upcoming collaborative album with Jay-Z: Watch the Throne. I like it; it’s smooth, it’s “summuh”, and it makes me want to throw on a pair of aviators and start sliding and jiving across the floor like the smooth villain from Charlie’s Angels.

Summer Days: Owling vs Planking
On a sunny Tuesday in suburban South Florida, we bourgeoisie like to congregate, en masse, in lofty little plazas where a Starbucks sign seems almost vulgar among the other stores.

True Blood Ep 4: I’m Alive and I’m on Fire
Blogging while watching
Fairy blood makes vampires tipsy. Eric is feeling quite unrepentant about drinking Sookie’s fairy. He’s drunk, he’s in a cheeky mood, and he’s not going back to his cubby! Instead, he wants to pinch Sookie’s butt and party till the break of dawn. Sunrise be damned!

Going Hamlet
Planking is passé, “Owling” is for the chromosomally impaired, and going HAM is too bourgeois. This summer, go HAMLET or go home!
