Blair Waldorf's Louis Vuitton Sundress for Less

Oh thank heaven for Modcloth! I love all their clothes. Most of their stuff is pretty whimsical and original but THIS new dress (released today) bears a striking resemblance to another bustier sundress worn by Queen B, Blair Waldorf a few episodes ago (Yeah, I watch Gossip Girl. Don't judge!). Hmm... First that pink Versace replica and now this $92.99 version of Louis Vuitton's blue sundress from their 2011 resort collection... I love my Modcloth fashions retro and quirky but I'm not opposed to their designer inspired dresses of late.Check it! Modcloth

Thrifted Vintage Finds

As a child, I always secretly admired my mother's early 90's style. To me she was the standard of nineties chic with her endless array of sheer black and floral fabrics, sopping wet Jerry curls that, as nineties wore on, morphed into a some sort of fabulous half shaved, half cropped product of 20th century engineering, and her clunky Egyptian earrings. Sometimes I find myself emulating her style and not even knowing it, and then I have to thank God for hipsters; they've made it okay to dress completely out of context.

This weekend I happened upon a little Antique/Thrift shop near the beach and decided to check it out.

CelebBoutique, True Blood, and Pam's One Shoulder Red Dress

True Blood Fashion Post

I've been mesmerized by this dress ever since Vampire Pam showcased it in True Blood Episode 2. It's an 80's power club dress and I'm in love with it! Other celebs have been spotted wearing this Brian Lichtenberg creation, but Pam takes the cake, hands down. The hair, the matte red lips, and the deathly scowl = FIYA! I want to snatch the whole ensemble right off the screen! Actually, if I had screen snatching powers, her boss, Eric Northman, would be in my living room right now—but that's neither here nor there.
